The Norwegian Royal Yacht NORGE on the river Tagus off Lisbon on 27th May 2008. After a three-day stay the NORGE left port yesterday May 29 at 4 PM. She is one of the very best looking and most beautiful ships I have been able to photograph since 1972...

The NORGE lowering the flags

The Royal Yacht NORGE this evening at Cascais lowering her flags at sunset. Note the sailors attending the flag poles to lower the national ensign at the stern and the Norwegian Navy jack at the bow. Both flags were lowered exactly at the same moment, followed by the courtesy flag of Portugal.
