LAFAYETTE on icy waters

A more realistic image of the French Line motor passenger ship LAFAYETTE of 1930 seen cruising in northern waters in the 1930s, probably on a trip from Le Havre to the Artic Sea.
This is also a post card, but printed as a glossy black & white photograph, a kind of post card I particularly enjoy.

Paquebot LAFAYETTE

Two post cards based on the same original image depicting the French Line passenger ship LAFAYETTE of 1930. A fine motorship which acted as renning mate to the famous NORMANDIE until her loss by fire in 1938. It was a sad loss for a ship about the same generation as the Italian twins SATURNIA and VULCANIA.
