S.S. PORTUGAL passenger's list


The steamer PORTUGAL was built at the shipyard of Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. to the order of Empresa Nacional de Navegação, Lisbon, with delivery in October 1899.
PORTUGAL was the largest Portuguese merchant ship, with 3.998 gross tons, 111,45 m long and capacity for 240 passengers. She opened the new Nacional East Africa regular mail service in 1903 and operated for 26 years, until sold to the breakers in 1925.

Lista de passageiros vapor PORTUGAL

O vapor PORTUGAL foi construído no estaleiro de Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. por encomenda da Empresa Nacional de Navegação, a quem foi entregue em Outubro de 1899.
Com 3.998 toneladas de arqueação bruta, 111,45 m de comprimento e lotação para 240 passageiros, o PORTUGAL era então o maior navio mercante português. Inaugurou a carreira da África Oriental em 1903 e navegou durante 26 anos, sendo vendido para sucata em 1925.
