COSTA LUMINOSA in Lisbon

The new Italian cruise ship COSTA LUMINOSA departing from Lisbon at the end of her inaugural call in the evening of 11 June. Departure in good light allowed better photographs than the misty arrival the day before.

COSTA LUMINOSA in Lisbon

The new Italian cruise ship COSTA LUMINOSA photographed this morning, 10 June, at 7h15 AM off the Lisbon Pilots' station inbound on her maiden call to the port.
COSTA LUMINOSA is the first VISTA class hull to be built for Costa, following the example of other Carnival companies with similar clones.

COSTA LUMINOSA em Lisboa

O novo navio de cruzeiros italiano COSTA LUMINOSA chegou a Lisboa esta manhã na primeira escala em Lisboa integrada no cruzeiro inaugural. Trata-se de um navio de 92.700 GT construído em Veneza pelo estaleiro Fincantieri com base no projecto da classe "Vista", desenvolvida inicialmente para a Holland America Line que entretanto tem sido clonado para as diversas empresas do universo do grupo CARNIVAL: P&O com o ARCADIA, Cunard com o QUEEN VICTORIA, etc...
O navio tem interiores com a assinatura do arquitecto residente da Carnival, Joe Farcus, que nos casos de navios destinados à Costa faz interpretações muito americanas da cultura europeia, com resultados algo fantasiosos.
O COSTA LUMINOSA está atracado em Alcântara e larga amanhã, 11 de Junho pelas 18h00 rumo ao Norte da Europa.
