The ROYAL VIKING SEA of 1973


The previous post in Portuguese shows several photos of the cruise liner ALBATROS (28.518 GT / 1973), the final of the original trio built for Royal Viking Line in 1972-73 in Helsinki. Lengthened in 1983 in Bremerhaven, she was transferred

to Royal Cruise Line in 1991 as the ROYAL ODYSSEY. Further renamings took place in 1997 (NORWEGIAN STAR), 2001 (NORWEGIAN STAR 1), 2002 (CROWN), and 2004 (ALBATROS). In 2005 she had new main engines fitted by Blohm & Voss in Haburg and so despite her age of 33 years, she is still going strong...
