ENRICO C underway in 1986


The Italian turbine steamship ENRICO C ex PROVENCE photographed underway off the river Tagus mouth, on her way from Lisbon in October 1986. Photograph taken from the inbound FUNCHAL.
Later the ENRICO C was renamed ENRICO COSTA, her steam turbines gave way to diesel engines, and this fact and the modernization that followed somehow deprived this handsome liner of her steamship look so evident in the photo...
