ADRIANA III and GRAND PRINCESS

The cruise ships ADRIANA III and GRAND PRINCESS berthed at Rocha passenger ship terminal, Lisbon, on 26 May 2009.
When built in Italy in 1998, GRAND PRINCESS was the largest passenger ship in the world and the prototype of a whole new generation of Princess Cruises ships.
ADRIANA was never a large ship but when built for Hellenic Mediterranean Lines in 1972 as AQUARIUS, she was the first purpose-built Greek cruise ship. In 1986 she was sold to Jadrolinija and joined their cruise ships DALMACIJA and ISTRA. She was sold to French interests in 1997 and has been operating under the Plein Cap Croisieres banner for the French market ever since.
