In January 1976 the INFANTE DOM HENRIQUE was laid up in Lisbon until May 1977.
Sold to Gabinete da Área de Sines, she was converted at Setubal into an hotel ship and towed to Sines in November 1977, where she is seen in 1986, at the end of her long stay at the Sines harbour.

ReplyDeleteAMAZING,25 years have passed now, I am sure you remember we went to Sines to visit the ship during her sad role at Sines, on the other hand I am sure you also remember not long after the joy we had photographing the ship when she was back in Lisbon, the fun we had crossing from Lisbon to Cacilhas (a ten minutes crossing to the other side of the tagus) just to make the most of the occasion
