Portuguese liner SERPA PINTO

Two photographs of the First Class dinning room of the Portuguese passenger liner SERPA PINTO. Built in 1915 for Royal Mail Line as the EBRO for UK-Caribbean service, she served mainly under the flag of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company between New York and Chile until laid up in the UK. Sold to Yugoslavia in 1935 she became the cruise ship PRINCESA OLGA, and in 1940 was purchased by Companhia Colonial de Navegação. As SERPA PINTO she provided excelent services mostly on the transatlantic services beteween Lisbon, Brazil and the USA. Withdrawn from service in 1955 and broken up in Belgium.
