A companhia SVITZER vendeu a interesses angolanos os seus dois rebocadores CARAMUJO e MONTEVIL, que serão substituídos por duas unidades mais modernas em fase de transferência de outras empresas do Grupo, que se vão passar a chamar SVITZER SETÚBAL e SVITZER SINES.
O CARAMUJO e o MONTEVIL vão seguir para Angola no final deste mês e passam a operar em Luanda.

Thanks a lot for the news Luis Miguel. One of the ''new'' units is the Svitzer Brightwell. I hope they will keep the Montebelo in service for a while.

CARAMUJO and MONTEVIL arrived Luanda 7/6/2010, apparently with newbuilding SUCESSO from Francisco Cardama SA, Vigo (Yd 223)
ReplyDeleteThe second "new" tug for Lisbon was reported to be coming from Svitzer Marine Trinidad & Tobago Ltd, but apparently technical difficulties arose. No sign of any movement of their tugs.

ReplyDeleteSVITZER APURE arrived Lisbon 9/6/2010 from Point Lisas, Trinidad. Presumably still to be renamed SVITZER SETÚBAL.

Her new name will be SVITZER AVEIRO instead of SETUBAL.
