Friends Trevor Jones from Durban and Hans Hoffman from Rotterdam have sent the two photographs depicting the Portuguese steam tug POLANA and here it is what I have found about her:

Built in 1902 by Hall Russel & Co., Abberdeen. Steel hull 33,55 x 7,03 x 3,35 meters, 216,00 grt, 18,00 nett tons.
2 compound steam engines, 4 cylinders, 500 IHP, 1 boiler, 3 furnaces - engines built in 1907 by Dunlop & Co., Holland. Crew: 16

Bela foto desse velho rebocdor colonial . Já agora seria ouro sobre azul postarem fotos de dois velhos rebocadores portugueses praticamente esquecidos o Cabo Delgado construido em 1931 e com cerca de 400 tons e o Bissau de 200 grt construido na Holanda, nas vesperas da II. Guerra.

Nice ships. Is it right that such old ships are used in even present age for fishing and are they not dangerous?
