My dear friend Rui A has started a new blog on cruise ships with some of his nice photos. Congratulations RUI. Click on the previous red words to enter his CRUISE SHIP FOTOS blog. The photo of the SKYWONDER was taken recently by Rui at Barcelona. This ship was built for Sitmar in 1984 as the final turbine driven cruise ship ever constructed. She was the third FAIRSKY and it was this newbuilding project that led SITMAR to sell the former Portuguese liner PRINCIPE PERFEITO they had purchased with the intention to convert for cruising. When the Barcelona yard that won the contract to rebuild our PRINCIPE PERFEITO asked for more money, Sitmar canceled the project and had a new ship built instead...
