KONINGSDAM maiden visit to Lisbon

The new flagship of Holland America Line, the motor ship KONIGSDAM, visited Lisbon for the first time on 14 May 2016 and I was able to photograph her on many different ways. Here it is a sample of her exterior, underway on the river tagus and at her berth at Jardim do Tabaco.

ROTTERDAM and STATENDAM in Roterdam

Another original painting by Captain Stephen J. Card onboard the new Holland America Line's flagship KONINGSDAM depicting a waterfront scene in the port of Rotterdam somewhere in the early nineteen sixties showing the ROTTERDAM of 1959 arriving and the fleetmate STATENDAM of 1957 at her Whilhelminakade berth.
Photographs taken by Luís Miguel Correia on the KONINGSDAM, May 2016.

KONINGSDAM by Stephen Card

One of the many great atractions aboard Holland America Line cruise ships are the original oil paintings by marine artist Captain Stephen J. Card, and the new HAL flagship KONINGSDAM is no exception, with this great painting of the ship sailing off the seven sister on her way to Geiranger. The Norwegian sail training ship CHRISTIAN RADICH can also be seen on the picture.
I love the work of Stephen Card, very acurate and beautiful.
