The NAVIGATOR of the SEAS sailing from the Mar da Palha anchorage off Lisbon on 23 April 2008 one day late following technical problems associated to her stabilizers.
She was doing her transatlantic positioning cruise...

The NAVIGATOR of the SEAS crossing the Tagus Bar off Oeiras, after her longer than planned call in Lisbon... She was cruising at a very slow speed and then went to an anchorage off Cascais until the next day.

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS in Cascais 2008-04-23



O navio de cruzeiros NAVIGATOR of the SEAS fundeado em Cascais na tarde de 23 de Abril último. Uma presença pouco habitual pois estes navios normalmente saiem de Lisboa directamente para o mar e o porto seguinte. Esta visita inesperada à baía de Cascais de um dos maiores navios de cruzeiros do mundo deveu-se a uma varia técnica que só foi solucionada no dia seguinte, quando o navio largou para o Mediterrâneo.

NAVIGATOR stranded in Lisbon


The Royal Caribbean mega-cruise ship NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS arrived yesterday morning in Lisbon on her positioning cruise to Europe, but did not leave port at 5 PM as planned due to technical problems. She is now at anchor off Lisbon at Mar da Palha as her berth was needed to BOUDICCA.

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS in Lisbon 2007-09-19



The cruise ship NAVIGATOR of the SEAS leaving Lisbon on 19 September 2007 on a beautiful evening light. Although this giant and her sisters are not exactly beauties, as they are too large and the funnels are out of proportions, anyway those ships have a streamlined look and a Royal Caribbean "family touch" that hads some tradition to their otherwise money making looks...

Navegadores. O nosso, imóvel na contemplação do génio corrente das águas do Tejo, a querer descobrir novas rotas de futuros infinitos. O outro, errante, visitador por horas da nossa cidade, como grande paquete que se preza em saber apreciar os encantos de Lisboa. O nosso Infante Dom Henrique e o paquete NAVIGATOR of the SEAS. Dois grandes navegadores... Ontem ali a Belém, 2007-08-22...

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS in Lisbon




The mainden call of the NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS in Lisbon, 16 May 2007. She is now cruising in European waters for the first time, based in Southampton and has another 9 calls in Lisbon during 2007. Built in Finland in 2002 the 138.279 GT, 3840 pax NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS joined another great ship in Lisbon waters for a few hours: the QUEEN MARY 2.
