THE MSC OPERA IN LISBON

The cruise ship MSC OPERA paid her inaugural call to Lisbon on 25th April 2007.
The ship arrived from the Caribbean and Madeira early in the morning and docked at the Santa Apolónia terminal, sailing at 17h30 for Vigo and Kiel.
The Ships & The Sea Blog was able to visit the MSC OPERA and we really enjoyed the ship and its crew and onboard atmosphere.
A special word of thanks to Captain Raffaele Ponti, the master of the MSC OPERA, the MSC staff in Lisbon and the APL cruise department Director Manuela Patrício.
There was a nice ceremony onboard to exchange gifts and the ship's master was presented with the APL new badge, the first time this badge depicting the Port of Lisbon new image was presented to a ship.
For about 10 hours the MSC OPERA, her passengers and crew provided the Santa Apolónia and Alfama quarters with a colourful lease of life. Thanks MSC Crociere and we sincerely hope to see MSC cruises ships in Lisbon many other times...
