The Cruise Ship ANDREA

Although it seems to be more and more difficult to survive the competition of the large cruise ship groups, small can still be beautiful while looking at cruise ships. It is the case with the ANDREA of Elegant Cruises, photographed here while sailing from Lisbon.
The ANDREA was built in 1960 in Trondheim, Norway, for NFDS as the HARALD JARL. After a long career operating the Norwegian Coastal Express service, she was sold in 2002 to the present owners and refitted for luxury expeditionary cruising. She was named after the granddaughter of the owner, Captain Mato Stanovic.
The ANDREA sails under the Liberia flag. The 2.549 GT ship can accommodate 117 passengers and the crew numbers 48.
