Rebocador MONSANTO

Rebocador português MONSANTO, a largar o cabo de reboque à proa do paquete INFANTE DOM HENRIQUE numa manobra de largada do INFANTE de Lisboa para Angola.

O MONSANTO integrou a frota da Colonial de 1947 - quando foi comprado nos Estados Unidos, juntamente com o MAFRA e o MUTELA, até Fevereiro de 1974, quando passou a integrar a frota da CTM - Companhia Portuguesa de Transportes Marítimos. Em 1975 o MONSANTO foi vendido para Setúbal alterando o nome para MONTE BRANCO.

She was purchased in 1947 in the USA and transferred in February 1974 to CTM - Companhia Portuguesa de Trnsportes Marítimos, a new concern resultant from the merger of Cia. Colonial to Empresa Insulana. In 1975 she was sold to Setubal interests and renamed MONTE BRANCO.
