De comum o H içado no mastro de sinais sempre que o PILOTO PRÁTICO se encontra a bordo.
Ou quase sempre pois já vai havendo gente desinteressada das tradições e bandeiras...

SOVEREIGN and BRILLIANCE OF THE SEAS at Barcelona

Two generations of Royal Caribbean cruise ships alongside Barcelona on 30 March 2009: the SOVEREIGN ex-SOVEREIGN of the SEAS and the more modern BRILLIANCE of the SEAS.
The Sovereign was transferred to Pullmantur in November 2008 and replaced the OCEANIC on 7-day western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona on 23 March 2009.

ORIENT QUEEN ex STARWARD

The 1968 German-built veteran cruise ship ORIENT QUEEN (built as STARWARD for the original NCL fleet in 1968) photographed berthed in Barcelona on 30 March 2009.
The ship entered the Union Naval shipyard dry dock later that day for repairs prior to the start of the 2009 cruise season in the Mediterranean.

Cada um tem os portos que merece...

Ninguém é perfeito e confesso que fico verde de inveja quando faço expedições fotográficas a grandes portos estrangeira e depois olho, observo e escuto a minha consciência em modo de frustração face à realidade nacional cheia de oportunidades marítimas perdidas e com perspectivas duvidosas de ver alterações significativas ao nosso panorama caracterizado pelas mediocridadezinhas do costume. Barcelona é o grande porto da Catalunha, feito com muito engenho a partir do nada. É um porto artificial sem as condições naturais de Lisboa mas com um desenvolvimento comercial e marítimo importante... À funcionalidade junta-se a estética e a cultura em harmonia...

PILAR DEL MAR in Barcelona

The new 26.904 GT Passenger Cargo RoRo ship PILAR DEL MAR photographed by Trevor Jones arriving Barcelona on 24 September 2008.
The PILAR DEL MAR operates under charter by Iscomar, beteween Barcelona and the Balearic Islands. Built in Italy by Visentini Yard (Yard No. 219) for WATLING STREET LTD., Hong Kong and delivered in April 2008. (IMO No. 9417919).

OCEAN DREAM in Barcelona

Pullmantur's cruise ship OCEAN DREAM photographed at Barcelona on 26 October 2008 by Hans Hoffman.
The OCEAN DREAM was built in Denmark as theTROPICALE, the first new ship to join the Carnival fleet (in 1992).
She sailed under Costa colours 2001 - 2005 under the name COSTA TROPICALE, and 2005-2008 as P&O Australia PACIFIC STAR.

Built in Sweden as CELEBRATION for Carnival Cruise lines of Miami and transferred to the Portuguese flag (Madeira register) this year when she was transferred to the Spanish Ibero Cruceros company.
