The Greek high speed craft (HSC) SPEEDRUNNER II photographed off Santorini from the Portuguese cruise ship FUNCHAL on 2 September 2009.
The SPEEDRUNNER II (IMO No. 9125891) was built in 1996 in Italy by Fincantieri as PEGASUS ONE (1996), but soon she changed her name to STENA PEGASUS (1996) reverting to PEGASUS ONE (1996-2002) and ST. MATTHEW (2002-2004) and TALLINK AUTOEXPRESS 4 (2004-2007). This fast ferry is a 37 knot ship, 3,971 GT, 580 pax 173 cars. Very similar to the larger HELLENIC WIND used on the Azores islands under charter to ATLÂNTICO LINE.
