DELPHIN leavig Lisbon 2010-05-03

The Bahamas registered, German operated cruise ship DELPHIN leaving Lisbon on 3 May 2010.

Built in Finland in 1974-1975 as BELORUSSIYA , the first of five sister ships for the Soviet Union, the DELPHIN is one of the few survivors of the Russian former fleet still cruising in Europe. She has been upgraded over the years and was renamed KAZAKHSTAN II in 1993 and DELPHIN in 1996.

Six cruise ships could be seen in Lisbon docks and cruise terminals on 26 April 2009: ATLANTIC STAR, DELPHIN, FUNCHAL, NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS, PRINCESS DANAE and TAHITIAN PRINCESS.

ABRIL PAQUETES MIL

Abril, águas mil. Os ditados já não são o que eram no tempos das nossas Avozinhas e hoje é mais apropriado dizer "Abril, Paquetes Mil", devido ao movimento de navios de cruzeiros que cresce significativamente nos meses de Abril e Maio quando os navios migram para a Europa dando início a nova época de cruzeiros.
A fotografia aqui publicada foi tirada pelas 17h15 de 26-04-2009 mostrando 5 navios de cruzeiros juntos no Tejo: no cais da Rocha, os navios FUNCHAL, DELPHIN e TAHITIAN PRINCESS; no rio, de largada, os paquetes ATLANTIC STAR e NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS.
Um momento marítimo a lembrar a capital atlântica de há décadas sempre repleta de navios de todos os géneros e tamanhos...
