LISBON GREEN TUGS...

TEIMOSO, Verde e Parado

Chama-se TEIMOSO, é verde e está parado há muito tempo junto à entrada da Doca de Alcântara. Trata-se de um antigo rebocador holandês, de linhas clássicas e nome provocador. Não navega, não trabalha mas preservera em teimosia. É um rebocador bonito.

TEIMOSO no Talaminho

Parecendo fazer jus ao nome, o rebocador TEIMOSO teimou em não conseguir ir até ao Talaminho, lá para as bandas do Seixal, para reparação. pelo que o armador engendrou este artifício para lhe diminuir o calado e assim consumar a transferência da Rocha para o Talaminho, o que aconteceu esta tarde na Preia Mar, com a ajuda dos flutuadores amarelos que levantaram este simpático TEIMOSO.

O TEIMOSO está parado há anos sempre em reparação. Esperemos que seja desta que vai finalmente passar a fazer serviços de reboque. O TEIMOSO foi até ao seixal e voltou para a Rocha. Ainda não foi desta.

In order to transfer TEIMOSO to a shipyard at Talaminho a device had to be attached to the tug's hull to decrease her draft, so this afternoon at high tide TEIMOSO was towed from Rocha to Talaminho to undergo further repairs... But had to return back...

Lisbon former Rotterdam tugs

Two former Port of Rotterdam tugs now based in Lisbon are actually pieces of living history: Svitzer's MONTEBELO and Resistência's TEIMOSO were photographed yesterday again at Rocha.

MONTEBELO is operating and looking good, while her older near sister TEIMOSO is still laid up waiting to have engine problems solved despite lenghty repairs.

TEIMOSO EM EXPERIÊNCIAS

A 6 de Agosto último caçámos o rebocador "Voith Schneider" TEIMOSO a sair do local de atracação na eclusa da Rocha do Conde de Óbidos para experiências de máquinas. Aqui deixamos algumas fotografias.

On 6 August we were able to catch the "Voith Schneider" tug TEIMOSO leaving her berth at Rocha do Conde de Óbidos to undergo engine trials. Here there are some pictures...

Rebocador TEIMOSO em Lisboa

Encontra-se em Lisboa desde 28 de Junho último o rebocador TEIMOSO da empresa LUTAMAR.

Adquirido em 2006 em Gibraltar, o TEIMOSO esteve em Peniche em reparação e encontra-se atracado na entrada da doca de Alcântara.

Construído em 1961 no estaleiro Werf: Scheepswerven v/h H.H. Bodewes, em Millingen, Holanda, apresenta as dimensões seguintes LxBxH: 28,86 x 8,38 x 3,48.

Trata-se de um rebocador muito elegante e cheio de história: de 1961 a 1973 chamou-se AZIE, pertencendo à companhia Ned. Stoomsleepdienst v/h P. Smit Jr., de Rotterdam. De 1973 a 1982 teve o nome AZIEBANK, sendo então propriedade de Nieuwe Rotterdamse Sleepdienst, Rotterdam. De 1982 a 1986 chamou-se GURNARD, tendo integrado a frota da Red Funnel Tugs, Southampton, Inglaterra. Em 1986 passou a chamar-se WELLINGTON,  da companhia Alexandra Towing, sendo baseado em Gibraltar. Em 1999 mudou de proprietário, sendo vendido a T.P. Towage Ltd., Gibraltar, sem alteração de nome. Finalmente em 2006 foi adquirido pelo actual proprietário passando a chamar-se TEIMOSO, e está registado em Setúbal.
