"O SERVIÇO PÚBLICO DE PILOTAGEM"

Decorreu a 1 de Julho em Sines a 5ª conferência da APIBARRA, que este ano se centrou no tema "O SERVIÇO PÚBLICO DE PILOTAGEM", desenvolvido de forma exaustiva numa iniciativa que primou pela qualidade e diversidade dos intervenientes e assistência. Desta jornada conclui-se que quase tudo vai bem na Pilotagem em Portugal - a norma desde que me conheço, e o "quase" deve-se ao efeito tutelar negativo do Estado que não facilita a contratação de novos Pilotos. Um pormenor de Desmaritimização endémica estatal, nada de estranho entre nós.

MSC LIVORNO em Sines

Novo porta-contentores MSC LIVORNO atracado em Sines, no Terminal XXI da PSA no passado dia 18 de Janeiro durante a sua viagem inaugural. Acabado de construir na Coreia do Sul, o MSC LIVORNO é um verdadeiro gigante, com capacidade para 14 000 TEUs, comprimento fora-a-fora de 356,5 metros, uma boca de 51,2 metros e um Deadweight de 153.115 toneladas.

N/T INFANTE DOM HENRIQUE at Sines

In January 1976 the INFANTE DOM HENRIQUE was laid up in Lisbon until May 1977.
Sold to Gabinete da Área de Sines, she was converted at Setubal into an hotel ship and towed to Sines in November 1977, where she is seen in 1986, at the end of her long stay at the Sines harbour.
