SPLENDOUR OF THE SEAS with duck tail

SPLENDOUR OF LISBON

Royal Caribbean's cruise ship SPLENDOUR OF THE SEAS called in Lisbon on 25 November back from her refit in Cadiz. I would like to have said "fresh from her refit", but she did not look fresh at all, with the funnel and upper works in need of cleaning or at least painting, showing her age despite the side and stern appendages...
She sailed full for Brazil and the cruise terminal looked quite busy for all day...

Eight cruise ships in Lisbon 20 April 2008

The 20th April 2008 was a special day for the history of Lisbon cruising activities with 8 cruise ships in port for the first time since the passenger liners days.

At the Rocha Passenger Terminal 3 ships shared the berthing facilities: the PRINCESS DANAE and the SPLENDOUR of the SEAS on turnaround cruises, while the HEBRIDEAN SPIRIT started a three-days call.
