ISLAND SKY refit

Cruise ship ISLAND SKY getting bunkers from the Portuguese tanker SACOR II on the afternoon of 4 February 2013. After more than two months at the shipyard the ISLAND SKY left Lisbon at 23H45 of 4 February for a positioning crossing to Antigua (ETA 15 FEB 13 7 PM).

ISLAND SKY sea trial 2013-02-03

The cruise ship ISLAND SKY which has been refitting in Lison's NAVALROCHA shipyard, left her berth soon after midnight 3rd February 2013 and went out to sea to undergo engine trials after lenghty repairs. She arrived in Lisbon to start the refit on 2nd December 2012 and in the nmeantime spent several weeks in dry dock.

ISLAND SKY to undertake sea trials

The cruise ship ISLAND SKY os now  leaving the NAVALROCHA shipyard in Lisbon for sea trials off the Portuguese coast, returning to the yard tomorrow morning. 
ISLAND SKY has been undergoing repairs and refit work in Lisbon since 2 Decemer 2012. She leaves Lisbon on 5 February afternoon.

NAVALROCHA cheia de navios

Há muito tempo que não se via o estaleiro naval do Porto de Lisboa, gerido pela Navalrocha, tão activo e cheio de navios. Até parece a Lisnave no Portugal dos Pequeninos nos bons tempos da indústria naval lusa... 
Na doca 1 os navios LAGOA e NORUEGA. Na doca 2 o PORTEL e o CIDADE DE AMARANTE. Atracado junto às docas o navio americano GEOEXPLORER e no antigo cais de aprestamento o navio de cruzeiros ISLAND SKY. Por cima de uma das muralhas, pode ver-se a lancha ESTALEIRO DA ROCHA, igualmente em reparação. Dá gosto tanta actividade, especialmente porque muitas o antigo estaleiro está vazio...
