FRENCH DESTROYER GEORGE LEYGUES

The French Navy destroyer D 640 GEORGE LEYGUES leaving Lisbon in the morning of 19th May 2006 after a courtesy visit.
Constructed in Brest between 1974 and 1979, the GEORGE LEYGUES is an anti-submarine destroyer. Displacement tons: 4.170 full load. While not modern by today standards, she has very an attractive profile no longer seen in the more recent generation of surface warships.
