The cruise ship ATHENA of Classic International Cruises visited Lisbon on 4th July on a voyage chartered by British tour operator Travelscope.
The passengers were mostly of British origins and the ATHENA is scheduled to call again on 14th and 24th July.
The latest ship to join the fleet of Classic International Cruises, the ATHENA is a very special and unique ship: She is at once the company's newest and most modern but also a classic old former liner.
She was introduced in 1994 in her actual form as the ITALIA PRIMA, although she was completely rebuilt using the original hull of the Swedish liner STOCKHOLM, who sailed for Swedish American Line between 1948 and 1960.
