GONE WITH THE WINDS

Cruise ships are not only pretty but also cleaver girls. And just like birds they also migrate in a sunward quest. Every year.
In Lisbon, every November the positioning transatlantics of the WINDS always mean that another cruise ship season is coming to a close, just like their return to Europe the following April brings another batch of cruise calls.
In those two photos the WIND STAR bids farewell to Lisbon and European waters bound for the winter sun of the Caribbean. She departed the Rocha Cruise Terminal at 5PM on 11th November 2006.
