SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE in Lisbon 2007-07-01

Saga Cruises' passenger ship SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE (9.570 GT / built 1980 / 420 Pax) arriving Lisbon on July 1st 2007 at 12h30.
It was her first call under this name although she is an old visitor to Lisbon under her previous names of BERLIN and ORANGE MELODY.
Built at Kiel by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft, the SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE was delivered in 1980 as the BERLIN and operated by Peter Deilmann under the German flag.
In 1982-1985 she operated out of Singapore under charter to Blue Funnel Cruises as the PRINCESS MAHSURI. In 1986 she was refitted and lengthened at Rendsburg and returned to her former operator Peter Deilman cruising for the German market as BERLIN until late 2004 when she was laid up and sold to Saga Cruises.
In the summer of 2005 she operated under charter to Russian interests as the ORANGE MELODY and in late 2005 was renamed SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE by Saga.
