One of the smallest cruise ships in active service in the world, the little NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDEAVOUR has probably the longest name. But small is beautiful and this former fishing trawler is going strong, cruising into the Atlantic after another call in Lisbon on 3rd September 2007.

Beautiful ship, with amazing colours from the sunset...
Este navio era um arrastão de pesca alemão, muito semalhante aos que se construiram em Portugal nos anos sessenta e setenta. Foi comprado por um armador norueguês que o adaptou para cruzeiros turísticos. Cá em Portugal se alguém se lembrasse de semelhante ideia era logo internado no Hospital Miguel Bombarda, na ála dos loucos furiosos...
Os Noruegueses não param de me surpreender!!
Isto depois de «acarinharem» Rabo de Peixe (concelho de Ribeira Grande) e de aprovarem a candidatura «Old Ghettos, New Centralities» ao Instrumento Financeiro do Espaço Económico Europeu (Fundos 1999-2003), em que «nos» atribuiram verbas quase por milagre (25 milhões de euros)!
Gosto mesmo muito do Reino da Noruega e espero que consigam enviar um representante à Real Regata das Canoas de 5 de Outubro de 2007!
