The cruise ship OCEAN VILLAGE leaving the river Tagus on her second call to Lisbon under her present name on 25 October 2007.
Built in France by Chantiers de L'Atlantique and delivered in 1989 to Princess Cruises as STAR PRINCESS, she had been laid down as SITMAR FAIRMAJESTY, although the take over of Sitmar by P&O Princess led to the change of name.
In 1997 she was transferred to P&O Cruises and as ARCADIA replaced the CANBERRA of 1961. More recently she was again transferred within the P&O Group to a new concern, Ocean Village Cruises as their first ship. As OCEAN VILLAGE she operates mainly in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
