One of the earliest Louis cruise ships, the Cyprus registered PRINCESA AMOROSA (photographed in Greek waters in 1998), was built by Harland & Wolff at Belfast in 1957 for Coast Lines as the SCOTTISH COAST.
The final ship in a series started with the ULSTER MONARCH of 1929, a total of 13 being built, she was sold in 1969 to the Greek Kavounides Group, becaming the cruise ship GALAXIAS. When Kavounides went bankrupt the GALAXIAS was sold in 1989 to Louis Lines of Cyprus, for whom she cruised for many more years.
