Navio de cruzeiros ARION atracado na Praia da Vitória a 21 de Julho de 2001, durante um cruzeiro de Lisboa à Madeira e Açores em que de forma simplificada se repetiu o itinerário dos paquetes da carreira das Ilhas FUNCHAL e ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO que asseguraram a referida ligação regular até Outubro de 1975.Construído em 1965 com o nome ISTRA, foi comprado em Março de 1999 pela companhia Constellation Cruise Holdings, do Panamá, passando a ser operado pela Classic International Cruises a partir de Maio de 2000 com o nome ARION.
The cruise ship ARION berthed at Praia da Vitória, Terceira Island on 21 July 2001, while doing a cruise from Lisbon to Madeira and the Azores repeating the previous itinerary of the Insulana passenger liners FUNCHAL and ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO. Built in 1965 as ISTRA, the ARION was purchased in 1999 by Constellation Cruise Holdings, a company managed by Classic International Cruises.
