If built today she would have been designed as a cruise ferry: the beautiful passenger steamship AUSONIA introduced by Adriatica in 1957 in their Venice to Alexandria express liner service was something like the Italian Mediterranean flagship.
She survived all other mighty post-war Italian liners in active service and in later years has been owned by Louis Cruises of Cyprus.
