French Line's ANTILLES lost 40 years ago...

Forty years ago, in January 1971, the beautiful French Line passenger ship ANTILLES was lost by grounding followed by fire off Mustique Island while cruising the Caribbean.
Dhe was a beautiful ship, looking very French and showing almost naval ship lines. This post card published in Great Britain using a photograph by Beken of Cowes is her best colour photograph in my oppinion.
I remember well when she was lost, and this was very sad for two reasons. the loss of a fantastic ship and the fact that she was schedulled to call in Lisbon in late January 1971, she never came so I was unable to see her...
ANTILLES was replaced in the French Line fleet by the BERGENSFJORD, purchased later in 1971 and renamed DE GRASSE (1971-1973).
