The largest of the four passenger cruise ships in the fleet of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, the BALMORAL was built in Papenburg, Germany and delivered in 1988 as the CROWN ODYSSEY, for the Greek Royal Cruise Line. She later operated within the NCL Group before her present career under the Fred. Olsen colours.
