Lisbon 2013-03-15: The Portuguese passenger ship ARION returned to her home port of Lisbon today after six months under arrest in Montenegro following the colapse of Classic International Cruises.
This February four ships from the CIC fleet were sold to a new Lisbon based concern and ARION was the first to be released and left the Montenegro port of Bar for Lisbon to undergo repairs in order to return to cruise service.
ARION arrived at about 11 AM and was welcomed by two Svitzer tugs...
The ARION is the smaller ship in the former CIC fleet. She was built in 1965 as ISTRA and purchased in 1999 and rebuilt in Lisbon when she was renamed ARION.
