FUNCHAL: the special one...

As I said on my previous post, I do love most passenger ships but there is one which really is special: guess of what ship I am talking?

FUNHAL left Lisbon yesterday 4 April 2013 with 530 passengers and is in Cadiz today.
It was a great pleasure to observe the FUNCHAL decks with lots of curious passengers exploring the beautiful aspects of outdoors shiplife.

And since last August, the FUNCHAL passengers have more free deck space to explore than ever before, from the observation deck forward infront of the Gama lounge, up to the top of the ship, close to the funnel and the signals mast...
By noon the FUNCHAL did cast away from the old Rocha do Conde de Óbidos berth she has used countless times since November 1961. Isn't she a pretty old girl?
Elegant and sleek FUNCHAL is a unique ship by today's standards, and she is a beauty, comfortable and attractive liner ro cruise on. There are no others like FUNCHAL today.
FRANCE, CANBERRA, ORIANA, PRINCIPE ERFEITO, EMPRESS OF CANADA, IVAN FRANKO, LEONARDO DA VINCI and many others looked like FUNCHAL in the early 1960s when they were introduced. All gone  a long time ago, except FUNCHAL.
Bon voyage, FUNCHAL, I'll be waiting for your return...
