Bukhard Schütt is a well known ship model maker and photographer of ships based in München, Germany and over the years Herr Schütt has provided ship enthusiasts with a countless number of models of passenger ship in the classic 1:1250 scale. Dipl. Ing. (FH) Burkhard Schütt is also a great admirer of the Portuguese passenger shipping traditions and he visited Lisbon three times this year all visits being associated to cruises on the Portuscale Cruises passenger ships AZORES and FUNCHAL.
One of those cruises departed Lisbon on 18 September bound for the Med for 15 days. Back in Lisbon on October 3, Mr. & Mrs. Schütt told me this cruise was their best vacation ever. This enthusiasm is translated to absolute perfection by a generous sellection of more than 2000 photographs just posted on a special page dedicated to our beloved FUNCHAL and the art of cruising the way it used to be. It will take hours for someone to see all the images, but it is a must. The images are just magnificent, the FUNCHAL is as beautiful as ever and in the end we only wish we could have been there. The photograph of the Schütts was taken on board the FUNCHAL in Lisbon on 18 September 2014, the cruise of their lifetime was just about to begin and Luís Miguel Correia went on board just to wish Bon Voyage.
