DISNEY WONDER in Lisbon

The cruise ship DISNEY WONDER arrived Lisbon for the first time on the afternoon of 24th October 2016, in really poor weather, on a technical call for bunkering following a refit at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, en route to her usual homeport in Florida, USA.

I did my best to take a series of decent photographs and here they are some of the images registered: DISNEY WONDER is seen on the river Tagus and alongside the Alcântara Passenger Ship Terminal, a facility not in great demand these days as most cruise ships now dock at downtown Santa Apolónia terminal.

DISNEY WONDER and her sister DISNEY MAGIC are some of the most elegant cruise ships of their generation and the company's livery is the best one among newly established cruise lines. Disney ships have black hulls and red funnels in a really traditional fashion. Despite having been built in 1999 and 1998, they look longer and sleeker than other contemporary cruise ships, and so far Disney has not been tempted to create another colourful livery just like P&O, AIDA or NCL.

You made decent photos of the DISNEY WONDER, LUIS.
But I don´t like this awfull, but obviously neccessary sponson clued at the stern.
Otherwise the DISNEY vessels are amoung the best looking modern cruise vessels - my opinion. Geuss as the hint to the former ships of states is so obvious.
