Cruise ships are returning to Lisbon once again for the 2006 season. Ships as diverse as the QUEEN MARY 2, the EUROPA or the veteran FUNCHAL are scheduled to visit Lisbon over the next months totalling more than 250 calls.
The current three cruise ship terminals in the port of Lisbon, Alcântara, Rocha do Conde de Óbidos and Santa Apolónia will handle a growing number of cruise passengers, while a brand new terminal to be constructed at Jardim do Tabaco is at the drawing board stage.
Ever since the very first cruise ships started to call in Lisbon, early in the twentieth century, the Tagus has welcomed the most famous name of the cruising world. Lisbon has a lot to offer. Its scenic beauty, the westernmost Atlantic city of Europe, with its light and old charm…
