The passenger liner ILE DE FRANCE painted by MARIN-MARIE, one of the best French maritime artists of the twentieth century.
The ILE DE FRANCE was the largest French liner that survived world war two. She was modernized and operated on the Le Havre - New York service until 1958, being sold to be broken up in Japan in 1959. She and her running mate LIBERTÉ were both replaced by the FRANCE of 1962...
