The GOLDEN PRINCESS at Puerto Montt, Chile

The cruise ship GOLDEN PRINCESS at anchor off Puerto Montt, Chile, in January 2015 while cruising from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires. The second of three sister ships of the GRAND PRINCESS-class, that also includes the STAR PRINCESS, the ships have a very original design developed in about 1995, and when delivered in 1998, the GRAND PRINCESS was the largest passenger ship in the world with 108.000 GT.

On the ports where the ship stays at anchor, the passengers and crew members are transported ashore usig the ship own tenders, and this is a complex operation when looking at 2600 passengers and 1000 plus crew members, even if part of the crew stays on board.
