It is all about the Brand...


These days most cruise ship's passengers (alas, they now are paying guests) are unable to associate the ship's name to their cruise and so it is all about the brand as can be observed on board the new P&O Carnival Cruises UK flagship BRITANNIA. 
No name on display at the name board between funnels, just the P&O Brand. So people goes on on P&O not BRITANNIA or ADONIA or AURORA, just P&O.

In the late nineteen fifties Holland America shocked the shipping world with their funnel less ROTTERDAM. So here we are with an almost nameless BRITANNIA, after all it is all about the brand, and it could have happened in the bright minds associated to P&O new image that their ships could become just P&O 1, P&O 2...
