Having just returned from the Holland America cruise ship ZUIDERDAM, where those magnificent original paintings can be seen at one of the stairways, I can not resist the publication of those images taken onboard the ship showing parts of a meeting at sea between two Holland America liners in 1962: the STATENDAM of 1957 seen from the deck of the fleet mate MAASDAM.
There are no words to comment the beauty of this picture or the quality of Captain Card artwork. It could not be better...

Ships are beautiful, live or in paintings... And when they pass away (like «Infante Dom Henrique»), it's wonderful to recall them in such beautiful paintings.
I also enjoy very much those beautiful ships. Stephen Card is a fantastic marine artist in the way he allows us all to revive the beauty of former passenger ships...
