Duas imagens do ferry grego (bandeira do Panamá) EUROPEAN EXPRESS fundeado no Mar da Palha a 27-05-2008. Entrado em Lisboa na véspera vindo de Oran, este navio Ro-Ro de passageiros e carga vai permanecer em Lisboa durante três semanas para reparação.
Propriedade da companhia liberiana Integer Maritime Co. Inc, (Strand Management S.A., Pireu), o EUROPEAN EXPRESS tem 15.075 toneladas de arqueação bruta (GR) e capacidade para 982 pasageiros e 250 viaturas. Foi construído no Japão (Shimitsu) em 1974, para a companhia Marine Express Line com o nome TAKACHIO MARU, operando entre Kawasaki e Hyuga. Em 1999 mudou o nome para HO MARU sendo vendido no mesmo ano à companhia grega Access Ferries, mudando o nome para MILLENNIUM EXPRESS. Tem operado no Mediterraneo e Caraíbas em diversos fretamentos, nomeadamente fretado ao grupo CNAN da Argélia e é designado pelo nome actual desde 2007.
